What if sometime in the near future, when the kids are dealing with the repercussions of Quinn’s accident, Rachel or Finn starts talking about their wedding and how they still want to do it soon. And they just keep talking and Kurt and Blaine keep very pointedly not looking at one another and then Blaine storms out, Kurt chasing after him.
As soon as they’re in the hallway, Blaine blurts out “I want to marry you!” and Kurt just looks at him with wide eyes, so Blaine hurries to finish. “I want to marry you some day. It could be next year or the year after or when we’re thirty, but I want to marry you. And I will know every single day how important it is when we get to do that, what an honor it will be to call you my husband and stand by your side and go through life together. I will be excited and proud every single day leading up to it and every day after and I can’t take another second of listening to Finn and Rachel flaunt the fact that they can rush into this without being proud and excited the way I will be when we’re getting married, the way I hope you will be, too. They’re rubbing it in our faces and we couldn’t get married even if we were ready and I just… I can’t take it anymore.”
And Kurt just steps in and wraps him up in a hug, and whispers in his ear: “There’s nothing I look forward to more than the day when I can call you my husband. We will do it when we’re ready and when we can and it will be everything we’re hoping for and more.” And Blaine just kind of sighs and clutches Kurt and they hold each other until they feel like they can breath once they let go.
